Are Any Freesharers Out There Friday?

©flickr user doubleyou_em

Right now, I am eating dandelion soup from yard fresh greens and even a few of the flower heads. . I recently found out that dandelions contain more Vit. A than do carrots. Its ironic that society's perception is that it costs so much to live today when pesticides are used to get rid of would be nutritious foods. Yes, they are a little bitter, like many lettuces are. However, gently boiling them, rinsing in cold water, boiling gently once again preceded by a final rinse takes much of the bitterness out. Then find a tasty recipe to throw them into. .Mm.http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Doras-Dandelions/Detail.aspx
Does anyone else gather no cost foods from nature?

Fabulous Frugalites

The TA Barron Educators Gift Box is available for homeschoolers. I was unsure as the sign up form indicates that the required contact phone number may not be a personal phone#. So, I sent an email to the project contact person and received a response this am. Here is the response:
"We are happy to provide your homeschool with the same Educator Box that we send to other verified teachers. Simply log on to the website, click on the link "For Educators" and when you request the gift box, please indicate "Homeschool" in the School field. Please expect a call from our office to confirm your homeschool status. Hope you enjoy it!" (Anita Southwick Assistant to T.A. Barron box)

Also, I am updating the Web & Phone Based Story post section.
Recently, that is, on March 25, Wakerupper phone alarm/ reminder service http://wakerupper.com/ was posted.I have used Wakerupper over a period of time and found it very useful as a backup alarm clock. However,as a member; membership is free of course, the service allws concetutive callsto be set up in advance on a temp bais. After the trial period, reminder calls must be made individually and without signing in. I have yet to try Abbyme so I do not know the details yet excetpt that a free reminder service is offered.

Feeling Fine Friday

Low cost homemade natural based shampoo-Is there anyone else that wishes to reduce expenses in the hair cleansing department? Well, I would like to. Last night I found some recipes for just such a potion! http://www.boiseclothdiapers.com/hair.htm
It would be great to hear others cost saving tips! Note that if comment posting in the comment box does not work with Firefox as it not not consistently with me.I post everything here in the blog with Firefox, but for some reason, posting in the comment box often does not work for me, so I tried in Firefox, and the post went through.
I also want to mention something that stands out to me about all of the no cost options available to us in this time of so called economic downturn. Financial doom and gloom is the trendy talk of the nation, though in reality, millions making so called Walmart wages were in the same financial situation that they were before the corporate fiascoes. I could go on about this subject, but for now will end with the idea that puts a spin on the old saying;Life is how we take of it, in reality. Sharing resources such as what we are doing here,as opposed to monopolism, can only lead to real & continuous progression.

Well, sweet surprises, Friendly's is offering a free sundae coupon for those that sign up for their online club:ttps://secure.friendlys.com/bff/

Way To Go Wednesday

©Flicker user memorias perdias http://www.flickr.com/photos/memoriasperdias/3403037458/
The title of this photo"April Fools Gold" is ironic because it surely contains an essence of beautiful truth!

It is true that I like to write, but I also like to hear great things from other people! I must say, just with all of the no cost items and programs available, that I am discovering more and more, that there truly is no need for people to "go without" But it requires an attitude of plenty instead of lack, if that makes sense.

Video Placement Worldwide has some free videos and teacher's guides available:http://www.vpw.com/

Since its a holiday, ha,I wanted to point out my alternative for store bought all occasion cards.I sent e-cards,and that's no April Fools. These are favorites of mine. http://www.care2.com/ecards/ http://cards.123greetings.com/cgi-bin/cards/sendcard.pl?log=ezpumpkin
